Like it says im wanting some input on what shocks I should run this up coming season for XC. Ive had Elka Racing series all around the past 2 years and feel its time to "expand my horizons". I will be running some max ground clearance LT a-arms and would like fully adjustable shocks. Would like to know if I should go with some TCS's, Custom Axis, or PEP's...ive heard nothing but good things about the TCS's in a few other threads, but would like to heard how they do in XC. I see alot of people running Custom Axis, but im not sure if they are running those because of the same reason I ran Elka's...the same old saying "if the pros run it, then it has to be good." Ive learned the hard way that any aftermarket shock can be good if you have a whole team of people working on your suspension night and day!

I had Elkas on my front for about a year ago. Ended up wrecking them. I Put on a set of front Ohlins triple rates. These things are absolutely amazing.

I like my Custom Axis shocks. Running regular travel up front and long travel on the back.

yeah I rode with a guy a few weeks ago who had motowaz on his yfz... damn those are nice. Great quality build. He said he ran TCS all around and the motowaz are amazing compared.

I had Derisi revalves and went to Custom Axis. They work GREAT. Recommend these shocks to everyone.

I looked into them but when I talked to them they seemed like they were more interested in setting them up for MX then XC

Well I just looked at the motomoz and im not impressed. Lookes like they used air compressor lines and connectors to make the system remote....and the price is almost 300$ over the TCS's. I think im going with the TCS'

yeah but tcs doesn't have rebound adjustment. And the "air compressor lines" are what make the shocks so good. They are larger oil lines which allow the oil to flow faster and help the shocks prevent fading and react to the terrain faster. Also if you want Jim can make them with stainless lines without the blue covering on them.

TCS lack rebound adj.? Hmmm didnt relize that. Well I guess I may have to go with Custom Axis
