yeah so this is kayle & im the one who rides this amazing bike! well to start off this past weekend i practiced it in kentucky and it was great. It caught everyones eyes... some people have heard about these machines gettin built but others had no clue so when they saw it they were like"waht in the world is this thing?!!"others were shocked when they saw a girl ridding it too. this bike was nothin but perfection!! in not only my eyes but manys also.! Jeff Roberts (Roberts Racing) was the man behind the work! To me, He is like an elf... i mean you would be at his shop and he is just easy going and relaxed and when you came back a little later on the bike would be nearly finished!! i mean this guy put all of hard work into this and believe me it paid off!!! I went to Hilltop Mx sunday and raced it there. This bike handeld great ! one thing that bothered me about this bike is gonna make ya laugh... ha well i didnt wanna get it dirty lol its stupid to say soemthin like that in mx but i just didnt want to get it dirty but to say the least... I did... i raced it and got 1st. This bike jumped great, took off great, and didnt have a problem with beating 300s. Who ever said that the cr85 would be closeto the 150s maybe didnt own one bc im telling ya this bike just left tehm in the dust.... well once again thanks for the bike Dad & Jeff!!!

question....how deos the power compare to the stock 400ex? just wonderin beings the thing revs to 14,500 RPM and its liquid cooled

11-06-2006, 03:06 PM
whats lighter a 300ex frame or a 400ex frame? i'd imagine the 300ex to be, so why didnt you put it in the 300ex frame?
might be a real dumb question but im not too smart :p

I don't think it would compare to much against a stock 400ex. A 250f motor would compare more to a 400ex than the 150f would. Also depends on the rider. Also what class did you guys race it in? A womens class or a youth production class?

bracey
11-06-2006, 05:20 PM
the 300ex frame is heavier than the 400ex and the 400ex has more room to put in the radiator in we ran the quad in the 350cc 4 stroke and 200cc 2 stroke class but we are wait for the final say so on the ama rules as far as the hp numbers between the 150 to the 400 stock for stock they are not far apart hp wise but miles apart on ftlbs thanks

um well it all depends really which class bc at hilltop i was gonna ride 3 classes but then i noticed in 2 of them i would be running against my sisters... & just my sisters but i mainly run my cr85 my 150 and 450 local and now if they allow the 150s to run nationals then my 150 in the supermod class... and about moberly yes i run there but not like every weekend... and the 19th i don really know i only know where im racing for the weekend in the middle of the week but i am not for sure

Awesome quad. Some have said that several of these are being made. What AMA classes would this quad be allowed to run in? What age restrictions would be allowed to ride it?
Why go with the 150 versus the 250 motor?

nicktrx400ex
12-08-2006, 08:30 PM
im just saying whats the point in doing a 150 cc motor in a 400ex frame there is no power ? im not saying its stupid i mean they did a good job just i dont see a point in doing that ?

bracey
12-09-2006, 01:50 AM
because my daughter can ride it in the local races and maybe the ama might let it in the 90 mod class or maybe the espn might let it in this year in the 90 mod class and they do make a little power more than you might think the little motor can i think that the ama will let it in in 08 and if you look around some they are being built all over look at hetrick racing web site they have built some of these little quads in the next few months you will see a few more thanks

nicktrx400ex
12-09-2006, 07:20 AM
well that makes since i was just wondering but it looks good tho

krt400ex
12-11-2006, 09:59 AM
actually those motors r pretty powerful. they make 22 HP stock. with a little work (pipe, cam, piston), i would be willing to bet that it would keep up with a stock 400 without a problem

bracey
12-11-2006, 04:39 PM
yes they do run well

papasmurf
12-12-2006, 05:25 PM
So what classes are legal to run a quad like this in?

bracey
12-12-2006, 07:15 PM
around here the womens and the 200 to 300 class or any of the age classes

QuadJunkies
12-12-2006, 11:33 PM
I believe here for the WORCS series, that can be ran in the shifter class ,I havent seen a CC disp(2 and 4) yet . Also the 200-300 and class sport class possibly. It will be interesting to see for sure

I know here locally the 150's in the bikes are now running there own and no longer with the 85 2-strokes.
