I hear if you put a 400ex carb on a 300ex and a yoshimura pipe it makes a big diffrance. Has anyone ever herd of this, tell me if it does anything or not

you dont need a 400ex carb with just a pipe, the bigger carb will make you loose some low end but a pipe will definatly wake it up as long as you re-jet. you dont really need the 400 carb unless you get further into the motor like with cams, pistons head work ect.

The 400ex carb does make a difference on my stock bore 300 motor. All i have is a pipe and it really seemed to wake it up without really any noticeable loss in lowend.I couild still bring it up in 2nd gear with just a stab of the throttle. One of the biggest bang for the buck you can do on a 300ex.Got my 400ex carb for like $30 off ebay.

400 carb makes a difference. ive always run mine with a higher rev cdi and sparks pipe, but motor is stock. i could tell that it woke up a good bit.
