Chain Size

If I have a 40 tooth rear and a 14 tooth front sprocket and switch to a 13 tooth front sprocket do I use the same size chain-96 links or go to a 94???

I did 1 tooth change and i could almost adj the slack out of it but not enough, you might be able to idk. I had to take 2 links out and add a master link to hold the chain to geather.

You should be able to use the same chain. I can if I go from a 13T to a 14T. If not just take a link out.
