port and polish

hey guys im redoing my blown up 400 and i took the head off and was lookin at the piston and its goon pretty much im 16 got all the tools and help i need im doing for a projets at my mechine class and im wondering how do i port and polish it i have a clamer manual and stuff but u no that dosnt show u how to do that it an o3 thanks for the help guys

if your tryin to port and polishing it yourself unless you have expiernce you will prolly do more harm then good to the head....but to port it you want to make the air passage to the head less restricted and more sraighter....ive never ported my own head but id say a dremel and sum sandpaper and alot of time????? i know your doin it for a project at school so id say try it yourself but you could destroy the head in this process so be careful.....if u want send it off to the professionals so they can do it and put it on the flowbench and test it

k ill take it easy on it ill use sand paper i have 4 an a half weeks so ya but im am geting a 10 ta 5 je piston and then a stage 1 hot cam adn a complete gasket kit so it should run storng

hahaha, i've almost blown mine up a few times. it is prolly ready for a rbuild anyway, i have like 90 hrs on it in the last 6 months.


RUN 'ER TO THE GROUND AND THEN BUILD 'ER BACK UP. better than before, of course
