If your using the right socket (17mm) it should be nearly Impossible to round them off. Try using the right size socket if that doesnt work use some vise grips. Did you round off the lug nuts on the rear wheels or the front wheels?

They used to make sockets designed to grip the flats, and not the corners of the nuts.

An impact wrench should spin them off. If a 17mm isn't grabbing them anymore at all then you might need to pound on a different size socket (use a cheap socket) or use a specialty socket.

Get a Chisel and Tap it with a hammer counter clockwise on the edge of the nut.

Or Use the chisel to split the nut

IF ALL ELSE FAILS AND YOU HAVE ACCESS TO AN AIR CHISEL, THIS IS YOUR TICKET. THIS IS HOW DESPERATE MECHANICS REMOVE TOASTED LUGS. BE EXREMELY CAREFUL THOUGH, NO JOKE IT WORKS.(EX MECHANIC).

If the 17mm doesn't grip it then pound on an old or cheap 16mil with a hammer and have a go at that

Vice grips should be able to get them off.

Try taking a file maybe and filing it down a little and then pounding on the next size smaller socket. Or you could file/chisel it so its flat on top and the bottom and wrench it off.

Get yourself one of these might be pricey but will come in handy more than once im sure. Craftsman Bolt Out (http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?cat=Hand+Tools%2C+General+Purpose&pid=00952166000&vertical=TOOL&subcat=Bolt-Out%2C+Taps+%26+Dies&BV_UseBVCookie=Yes)

Take the quad to a tire shop they have sockets for getting stripped lugs off.

i had one of mine stuck on....i took the hub off...took and got a small grinder and grinded the back of the stud off and taped it thru the other side....thats if all else fails tho

also if your rounding off your lugnuts with a 17mm....you need to check and see if its a 12pt socket or a 6 point socket....6point socket is your best bet....a 12pt will really tear some ish up esp if your trying to stick some *** into em...

if it comes down to it, drill the stud out and buy new studs to put in there

I broke studs on an old 300 fourtrax i used to have instead of the lug nuts stripping out, you must be using the wrong size socket.
