how much frame hacking do u have to do on it. im looken for a yzf426 for my 400ex and everyone i know that did a hybrid project did it with a 250r aftermarket frame.

i havent did to much....only place where i cut was where the water pump is (the ktm's are vey high in the motor)

How did you extend the kicker out? When I got my LSR/CRF, they had cut the splines off the shaft, welded a piece in, and welded the splines on to the end of that. It worked OK but ended up breaking. I had to buy one of the Gibson kicker extensions from K&K.

i cut the metal shaft part off the kicker not the motor... and welded it to a 1/2 thick steel stock it seem to be holding up..

Oh it looked cool with the plastic just sitting in place.

I have built a similar project to you and My kickstarter wont clear
the frame I was woundering if you could show some pics of that
homemade kickstarter I'd appreciate it alot

I looked to me like the hose going to the resy for the rear brake master cylender was sitting on or really close to the exhaust.
