is there a way to change ur ip address to a completly new one ?
i have verizon fios ( optics )
how do u change the ip for it ?

It dont work all the time, but ive done it before. And im pretty sure it dont work for good either, just tempoary i think. I'm not even 100% sure on how to do it. You do to doss, then type something like ip/config ip/ renew and ip/release. Someone else may know for sure...

what hes talking about is start > run | Type CMD then tyoe ipconfig /renew
This will prob just make you end up with your original ip. Best thing is to call your Service Provider.

i go thru a router, so i can set mine statically to not change, which most ppl dont use, or dynamically which i have set to renew every 10 hours... the only thing that doesnt change is your mac address because that deals with the hardware built into your computer.
