Has anyone put that LTE (LOONEY TOONED EXHAUST) on their Predator ? It looks trick as hell !!! I was just wondering if it was worth the $.

I would venture to say no on the worth the money question. I think the gains are gonna be comparable to any other pipe at half the cost, youre gonna be paying mostly for cool points. IMO

true dat, gains similar to any other exhaust, but coolness factor us way up there, if I had the $$$$ I would go for it.

I think the power gains would be greater than a normal aftermarket pipe, i mean you have twice the air coming out.

Not really, you may gain a small amount of more potential flow not really though, and on top of that the n/a engine needed to produce twice the exhaust out put from the same size engine.......... that would be a hell of n/a engine

I ordered the LTE dual exhaust a few days ago from xtreme quad in California. I'll let you know what I think of it when I get it on.
I may even try and post a few pictures.

Now, this is hearsay but, from what I've gathered the LTE actually, loses power on the top end.

I'd like to see a dyno report...

It gains power over stock, but it's one of the lowest gains on an aftermarket pipe except maybe DG, It's only for people who want the look and sound of the dual exhaust. I'd go HMF peronally. Alot of the top brands are the same it's all peronal preference.

ehy guys im in the prosess of building a dual set up on a friends predator using nmotion cans. hope to have it done and dynoed in a couple of weeks. im also in the process of building a dual set up on an 700 raptor using hmf cans.

I was wondering how well the exhaust would do with another can or if its just the design thats flawed. Keep us posted!

thanks. we will have dyno results next weekend.

Where are you getting it dynoed at, Kevin Gigot in Garden City? I hope it dynoes well.

How loud is it, every Nmotion pipe I have ever been around has just been unreal loud.

Was at Little Sahara (oklahoma) yesterday and watched some of the dragging. A 450R had an Nmotion pipe (plus who knows what else) and even when 15 bikes were all going at once you could hear that Nmotion pipe above all of them, it had a loud thumping sound to it. Sounded awesome though.

That bike was pounding all those other bikes, including some seriously hopped up Banshee's. Not a Honda man, but that was impressive.

I want this thumping sound out of my HMF!

go to dyno it at little sahara ok. and yes it is very loud i built a single exhaust set up for my cannondale using a nmotion can it is very loud but the duals on this predator are a lot louder. but they do have a 12in can available and quiet cores also but we went with the 9in can because i wanted to get as much horse power as i could out of it.

that dual setup with the nmotions looks so sick. i wish my 450r had an undertail, or even better, dual undertails like that.

how much would you be selling the systems for?

They did away with their stock airboxs it looks like, either way the duals look effen sweet.

id like duels with curtics sparks or even(i hate to say it)hmf.i think it would be sweat.i heard the lte give you the same power out put of a pure polaris pipe.

not sure on a price yet until i get them dynoed to see about power. and yes we eliminated the stock air box. im in the process of building a set of duals out of HMF cans for a friends raptor.

Wonder how it would look if you put one can in the stock location and one where the battery goes and move the batter where the airbox is.

well heres the scoop on the duals. we went down to waynoka this weekend and we dynoed the predator we had to bump the jetting up from a 155 to a 185. when we installed the duals that i built we also eliminated the air box and went to a k&n filter set up. it had a lot more bottom end and more top end. but we want to get a little more out of each gear because with the duals were hitting the rev limiter preety quick so we are going to go with a 15 tooth up front and a 36 out back we are running a 14-36 right now and it is a realy mean machine we got a 49hp run out of it.

Thats awesome, Those are loud I bet.

49hp with k&n and exhaust, i likey. so exactly how many dB's is it?

cobradaler
11-03-2006, 06:15 AM
not just a k&n we eliminated the hole air box have u seen the inlet tube into the air box it is restrictive as heck. and we installed a rev box.

cobradaler

did some more dynoing today on the pred, and yes we got 49hp again.

So what did you think of his setup? Unreal what he has huh?

ya his equipment is pretty cool got a deal worked out on cans also.

Hey i got a question, how much would it cost to dual a pred and is it hard to do on your own!!?? also would i have to make much changes to the look of my bike. also do they have to be in the middle of the bike?

katch26
11-15-2006, 10:14 AM
i wouldnt think it would have to be in the middle but if you ran the 2nd one opposite of stock youd have to relocate your baterry, etc. I think the way he did its the easiest cause the only thing youd have to worry abouts the air box and most people ditch them anyways.

katch 26 is correct. the cans are the most expensive i think LTE is like $700.00 i did these for less than that but i own an exhaust shop so i have a pipe bender.

katch26
11-15-2006, 11:53 AM
just of curiousity if you were to market these or if you could make us up set what would the cost be?, also what fabbing did you have to do to mount them?

cobradaler
11-15-2006, 07:46 PM
cost with labor would be about 600.00 to 650.00 i used billet clamps and i welded a strap to the inside of the sub frame for my friends so i could mount them in a little deeper than the LTE because my buddy a little hard on stuff. normaly i would mount them off the grab bar bolts.

Its a pretty fast bike with the duals on it! If the kid who rides it knew how to ride, it would smoke a lot more ppl on the drag strip though. He cant take off to save his life! He always tells me to get on his bike and go see what its got. Its got alot of power, more towards the bottom end then anything so its great for the dunes. I beat yfz's and beat 450R's that had HRC kits and pipes. If you want exhaust this is a good set up, the only bad thing is he had to weld to the sub-frame, if he could make it bolt up somehow it would be great! ;)
