400ex rear shock in 86 ATC 250r?

Basically the post says it all will a 2004 400 ex stock rear shock fit in a 1986 ATC 250R 3 wheller. Thanks:ermm:

Not without doing some serious grinding on the lower shock eye area because the links for the two setups are different.
