dying

For some reason after a couple hours of riding my 04 400ex it will just die, but it will start right back up...is it gettin overheated or does anyone know?

It is bored to 416, hig compression piston, hmf slip on, k&n filter, etc.

Is your jetting correct? What size jets do you have? What compression piston, what octane fuel are you running? Before it dies does it click and ting alot?

well my carb isnt jetted, and not sure wat compression just bored to 416...and runnin 93....na doesnt click or nuttin..i just ordered a jet kit i am gonna see if thatll solve it but it seems liek its over heatin for some reason

I wouldn't ride it anymore until you jet it out!

Means It is REALLY HOT!!!!. Your quad will do it under normal riding degrees but it shouldn't do it ALOT

Your quad will do it under normal riding degrees but it shouldn't do it ALOT mine did that a couple of time last month when i went out riding after i got it back from the shop. it was gettin the 440 put in...the mechanik told me i could run pump gas but it would have to be super unleaded...i went ahead and ran 100octane..but i think im goin to step it up to C12 and see if it still over heats.
