So, the basic idea of this thread is inform me, and others who are curious as to when you park the machine officially for winter.

I think my riding season is coming to a stall in the end of october. How bout you guys?

*NOTE: For obvious reasons this does not apply to those in places where winter is not bitterly cold & snowy.

You should try riding a 3-wheeler on a frozen lake. It's all fun and games when you're doing 360s until you hit one bump. :(

The only time I ever parked my sport quad , was when there was too much snow and I had to spent more time lifting and pulling rather than riding . Other than that , I rode all year .

i use mine all year round too, its a blast playing in the snow, as long as you dont get stuck due to the depth of snow. Plus I Ice race.

The only time I park my quad is during soccer season, which ends in two weeks. Theres an indoor motocross track about 30 minutes from me.

Riding is definately awesome in the winter! You can always dress to get warm but you can't dress to cool down in summer! Snow is the best and with experience you could ride better than a 4X4 in deep snow and have more fun than summer!

Hell no I don't park it!!!!! I love winter riding. The trails are smooth your not hot and you can get out on the lakes and race. Too much snow sucks though and it' better when skidoos get on the trail to pack down the center.

as soon as pappy gets my frame and a-arms done ill be riding again:mad:

:chinese:

we have an indoor track in ohio that we go to, so hopefully ill still be riding, but no snow riding for me, the salt and sand new york state puts down just eats away at out quads.

09-27-2006, 08:40 AM
winter riding isnt all that fun here...we can get enough snow where your quad wont move (unless it a 4x4)...but then again winter riding is better then summer....its called a F7 boys :D :D :D

I never park mine. I live up in MA where the winter can get a little harsh, but thats the fun of it. I can't wait until my lake freezes over so me and a bunch of the guys can drag down it and stuff. Winter is great...

In MN we stud up and run the river, a la Huevos 4 (same river). It's a lot of fun. We also set up some flat track ice race tracks last year.

i ride more in one good snow storm than i do in a months worth of time in the summer. when else can you ride down main roads at midnight with a pack of 5 quads and not have any trouble? i cannot wait for the snow, wish i had a sled but its not worth it for around here and i still have plenty of fun on the 450. nothing like riding to the local applebees or tgi fridays, parking in a lot full of other quads and sleds, eating dinner, gearing up, and riding the roads for miles into the morning hours of the night.

i cant wait for snow!

You really dont have to worry about rusting but if your riding on any roads or anything salted hose it off after each ride or it will start to corroad or how ever you spell it
