Two issues -

1. If the +2's are designed for 18" shocks, and the stock shocks are 17" you are gonna change the front end geometry.

2. The extra leverage of the longer a-arms is gonna hammer the stock shocks. Especially if you run MX.

Yes you can run stock shocks w/ +2 a-arms. I did this when I was having Derisi revalve my shocks. I even got brave enough to play on our mx track w/ them. They're not made for it but they work if your saving up for shocks... I weigh 200lbs and repeatedly jumped our 50ft double. No problems whatsoever. I wouldn't recommend it (if ur planning on running stock shocks for good). Honestly, the stock shocks didn't feel too bad, I just wouldn't trust them.

If the arms are long travel, there is prolly no way, and that doesn't matter if its stock shocks or standard travel elkas...
