Parts that are interchangeable

Hello everyone just purchased a 2002 400ex for my son looking for some info.What parts from other honda's are interchangeable and recommended to help the looks and performance.I have heard the 450r shocks will be a good start.What about plastic will others fit.Just a few idea's would be great thanks.

i have heard that the axle off a 450r and 250r will fit, but i am not sure. the shocks will fit witha little grinding on the top where it mounts up. the rear shock on the ex(in my experience) is better than the 450r stock shock. the a arms will not fit from a 450r, but i think the 250r arms will fit. the 450r motor will fit without much modification :devil:

there r alot of things that will work, just don't call honda to find out. there part #s r all different and they will say that nothing is interchangeable. if i think of anything else i will let u know

450r shocks, 250r A-arms, Not sure about the motor deal though.06' 400EX Plastic will work with some slight mods.

250r a-arms will work with some mods, shocks, a few years the swingarm will fit (1.25" longer too), bumper, axle with brake-stay, plastic with some mods, hood,

450r swingarm, bumper, carb, slip on with some mods, front shocks,

then there is general stuff like tires, wheels, ect.

there are some more butthat is all i can come up with off the top of my head.

motor out of a 450 won't take much, slight mods, mostly for the radiators. i checked it all out with my buddies 450. the frames r almost identical. but i kinda just said that as a joke anyway.
