I just got an R a few weeks ago. It has a 39mm mikuni carb on it. I dont know the exact type of carb, but it has a flat top and sides, and a square style slide in it. I need to replace the throttle cable, and I dont know what kind of quad/bike to get it for. The collar/shaft where it goes into the throttle housing aint threaded like a stock cable. Also, notice where the cable attaches to the throttle assembly, it has the little silver ball, but it also has a brass ferrel(sp?) or sleeve that slides over the ball to make it fit the stock throttle assembly. I hope someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks.

your best bet would to call motion pro up and they will direct you in the right direction. i just ordered a cable for my stock thumb throttle and a 39mm pwk keihin from duncan racing, they had it in stock...maybe give them a call too, they were very easy to deal with. heres our conversation...

me ... i need a throttle cable for a 250r
dr ... what carb are you using?
me ... 39pwk
dr ... stock thumb throttle or twist?
me ... stock thumb throttle
dr ... do you need that overnight?

how easy is that!!!
