I have a couple ?S about 250r engines...

Anyway,

What are the symptoms of a blown head gasket?

What is the highest compression you should run with pump gas?

What will happen if you run reg. pump gas in a high compression engine that requires race fuel?

Thanks guys!

Well ill give you the worst senario of a blown head gasket (happened to me). The head gasket was bad and leaked coolant into the cyl... The piston seized destroying the piston and throwing chunks of the piston and cyl into my crank, causing me to rebuild the whole bottom end..
Max compression for pump gas is 180 give or take a few..
And as for the last question just dont do it and you wont need to know what happens...

symtoms of a blown head gasket are:

1. the coolant is leaking to the outside.
2. the coolant is leaking into the cylinder.
3. cooling system is pressurising from the compression, causing it to boil over and can be in conjunction with either of the above.

the highest possible comp. to run safely is about 190 anything over that and you run risk of the (D) word "detonation". which will ultimately destroy your engine if ran long enough.

if you have an aged or poorly sealed head gasket too high of a compression will/can cause it to blow.
