Release Date?

Their website shows it as a 2008 model. Based on that alone, I wouldn't expect to see before next spring. But, that's just a wild uneducated guess.

What time period are the most ATV's sold? I'm guessing 2nd quarter.

How long does the Hype last on a quad once it hits the showroom floor 2-3 months tops.

Based on that.. my previous guess makes sense.

I see them hitting the showrooms mid-April.

i think they're going to surprise attack us with a early release a little before christmas. that should get them a lot of sales.

Rumors around is they will have race teams for the 07 season. So I would guess no later then Jan or the beginning of Feb. as a early 08 release.

Dealers are saying March before they will have any of them in.

my dealer told me that since it is an 08 model that they cant start production until jan. and that they would be shiped in march for the first ones .

This is definitely an excellent time for Atv enthusiasts. The big four all have their race bikes. Can't wait to see the GNCC results next year. It is going to be a battle for the podium!

Now Im told it will be April. It will be a 2008 model. So I said screw that and just bought me a new trx450r. I dont feel like having to deal with the recalls of a new released model.

it is really stupid for manufacturers to release quads in the winter/spring then everyone is in a mad dash to get parts for their quad to be able to race, i had that fiasco with nerfs and bumpers for my ltr last year and really want a kfx, but they aren't wide from the factory so racing stock is pointless i would have to wait until arms and shocks were available to race. I really think that kaw should release them now so the aftermarket can get started on products

whenever a new quad is introduced for the following year (the kfx is a 2008) it will come out Jan of '07 because of the production rules. The LTR came out Jan of 06' as an '07. It's a general rule for the quad manufacturers. I think auto manufactures do something like next year models start in october or november.

08 Ford Superdutys come out January 07 there is no rule of thumb only what they decide to do

yeah thats a model release, but look up the vin # of a vehicle theres a certain cut off date of when next year models start. I cant remember if its october or november. im leaning on it being november. I really wish the KFX would come out sooner so we can see some of the crazy aftermarket stuff thats gunna come out for these things. Maybe they will make some kind of hood to make the quad look meaner.

then why do we have a true 99 Chevy van built and delivered in May of 98?

04 YFZ's came out in June of 03 too...

things will get even better for quad racing when KTM makes everyone else bump their game even higher...if KTM does anythign to their quads like they do their bikes...i might acctually get my first 4 stroke and be riding orange, but time will tell

those are different cases, when a model like the kfx is announced as late as it was, and a company is wanting to have it out before the next race season, but still have it considered an 08 (or whatever year they're looking for), they're going to do that.

plus May and June aren't exactly "early 2007". which is when it's due out like Kawasaki.com says.

it has to be out by febuary, otherwise, all the kaw factory riders will be racing kfx400's until the 450 comes out. remeber there are production rules!

the factory kawi racers will get their bikes before anyone to make sure that the bike is in for the new season. I'd seriously expect to see the bikes in dealerships around a few weeks into january. The bikes ready and pretty much done. I'm hoping black isn't going to be a more expensive option because they look bad@ss in all black.

no doubt. nothing against the black or white one (even though i wouldn't mind having white) but green is just kawasaki. i refuse to own a kawasaki unless a good portion of it is green. it just really sets them apart from the rest.
