Hotcam without a high compression piston, anybody ?

I have been told by some a new cam without a new piston won't do anything, Is this true? I need expert advice..... I cannot afford to do the piston at this time. Any tips would help, Thanks. I was thinking a hotcams2

the cam will help out your performance without the piston....you will see much better results with a piston...but if ya aint got the $$ get the cam and save up for the piston

I'd go with the piston then the cam. Just my 2 cents.

i just bought a hotcam stage 2 and installed it without getting a piston and it does help on top end but it has no bottom end help. that is where your piston comes in. now i need to install my 426 kit from marcums
