Yup! We will be out there no questions. Bayou Boy from the site plans on attending as well... plus I have some friends that I am gonna drag on out haha. I take it you will be there? We should all be participating in the 450 bolt on class, unless I finish my 05, then I will be running in different class/s as well.

If I have the 450r done, we are gonna try and get it dynoed, too, if they are out there! Definately gonna need to pick up some gas out there as well. Cannot wait. Anyone else plan to attend?

Haha, put nitrous on it.

I don't think you had come last time, did you? There was a blue utility bike running with some pretty bad 400EX abd mild 450s.

I might go to this, my friend said I can use his paddles so I guess thats a plus. How far is it from New Orleans?

CHEVYZ
09-25-2006, 06:40 PM
Takes us about 4 hrs. or so, and we are around 30 minutes away from New Orleans... I would say about 4 1/2 hour drive. It is worth it, though. Calsh of the Titans is an awesome event. CP Customs is rumored to be bringing out twin cylinder Sabertooth. Like 1200ccs including the kit and other work. Like 250+ HP easily. :eek2:

Do you have any pictures from Sicily Island? What are the rules? Is it just a drag?

CHEVYZ
09-25-2006, 07:11 PM
Web site mentioned in the first post has pictures and info. Not just a drag area. They have a sand area, they have hills, a track, trails... a little bit of everything. Gonna be a drag racing event, though.. lots of people.

400eXr1d3rZ
09-25-2006, 07:15 PM
Is it a good idea to bring both paddles AND my razrs?

CHEVYZ
09-25-2006, 08:26 PM
Yeah, definately. In fact, I run dirt tires more than sand tires out there.... then again, that depends on how much you will be in the sand box. The sand area isn't huge out there.

09-25-2006, 08:29 PM
Hopefully i'll be able to make it out there, if my dad isn't hunting. He'll drive 3800 miles to colorado to hunt but he won't drive 400 miles to bring me to ride. But we'll see, hunting is my dads life he hates missing trips to hunt, he's hunting every weekend, all around the country. Hopefully he'll make an exception and bring me to Clash of the Titans.

Bring me his hunting equipment and I will bring it out to Sicily. If he wants it, he will come. ;)

Some ******* ran into my beloved Taco-Bell a few months ago on his motorcycle (cbr600 i think), lost fingers, foot was in the ceiling, helmet just disigrated, brain was splattered on the ground, ehh, my uncle is a cop he got to see it, and my friend is a fireman, he got to see it also.

Now I can't go to Taco-Bell anymore.

I just put on my White Bros and WOW that thing rips... and I still need to rejet:eek2:

Probably not the best idea, but I doubt you would do much damage. If you are running too lean, then yes, you could very well harm your engine. Personally, I would wait just to be safe. Besides, who wants to ride something that runs so crappy?

Have you tried any other exhaust systems to compare yet? Just wondering how you like it compared to others... and yes, I know you like it in general LOL. I have a buddy running Sparks on his and another with Yoshi. Each have their own strong points.

I really didnt get to test it out... When I rejet this weekend and test it out, I will let you know its strong and weak points. (If it's not raining)

Nope, this is the only exhaust system I tried on a YFZ, so I cant compare pipe to pipe yet.

And yeah I think I'm going to let the YFZ set to I rejet.

I wanna ride, anyone going to the spillway tommorow? I'm going with a few people.

I'll be "breaking" my stuff in, so it won't be too hard to find me. I'll be a with a Polaris Predator 500, WB e-series pipe (LOUD!), a white/black/red yamaha warrior, holeshot rear tires grey wheels and HMF pipe. and a few utilities.

Im not gonna break my bike in the way the manuel says, im just gonna ride it hard, normally how i ride it. Do you think I would beat my friends predator? Hes a good rider but i have a fresh motor.

Man, talk about bull****. I cannot find anyone with either Sparks or DASA in stock or ready to ship quickly. I think exhaust is gonna be a must for the 05 is we are gonna bring it out LOL. If I cannot find a gasket kit ready to ship, that is going to suck, too. At least I can run one set-up either way with that, though. At this point I mainly need exhaust and paddles. I am bringing it out as a sleeper for the most part. I am not doing any of the looks until afterwards... when we will strip it down again to me it all perty haha.

Yeah, if I don't kick that dudes a**, I'm going to take out the 125 haha J/K:macho

I wish I could afford a 250 two stoke dirt bike:scary: I love dirt bikes. The 125 doesnt have alot of power:( but it has top speed, maybe around 70 MPH. But I love 125s, just something to play on.

10 paddle 21x12x8 Extremes in the mail. Gonne try to stretch them to make them even taller, too, and I am gonna try between stock and 1 tooth lower on the gearing (Front). Cannot wait! Exhaust is being ordered tonight. I was supposed to do it two days ago, but I have been so torn since I cannot find what I really want.

10-05-2006, 12:42 PM
Oh' I forgot to tell you guys that I didn't rejet my quad, I just took my air box lid of and it runs perfect:p

So far I found out that the WB has great low end power and great mid end power!
I haven't test the top end yet but soon!

10-05-2006, 02:51 PM
I never heard of DASA:scary: Or maybe I'm just over thinking it.
Have any pics/link of the system you might get?

I didn't get to race:( He some how broke his exhaust in half:eek2: I bet he broke the exhaust on purpose so he wouldnt have to race me:D j/k

CHEVYZ
10-05-2006, 03:51 PM
LOL.. there is an entire mini-forum entitled DASA for their products on the site. Anyway, I ordered a system. Unfotunately I have a bunch of bull**** I know have to go though because Paypal "Snuck" up the wrong trasfer (From bank rather than credit card... bank account might as well not exist LOL). It is all good though, I will just stop by tomorrow and put some cash in.

Here is a pic of it. After the Clash, when I will break down the bike to put the big engine on (This time I am going with a Sparks engine, my Nmotion is on steroids compared to the Sparks and will be in it after the clash), I am gonna get the exhaust done up in a really nice finish.

.....and two dyno charts vs. some well know top performers. The only pipe I have seen to match has been Sparks, and I cannot pull up the sheet off of my computer....

haha I think he over reacted about his exhaust...
I went down to his house and I seen him in his shed taking his exhaust off and I said where is it cracked in half at? and he said it's cracked here by the head, so I looked and it was maybe a penny size crack, so I went back to my house and got some JB weld and I put that in the crack. Let the JB weld harden for about 20 minutes and he tested the exhaust out, and what you know!!!

It's good as new:blah:

So by that time I was eiger to get on a bike again so I grabbed my 125 and whopped the piss out of him:devil:

Yeah, just finished lowering the bike. Only costed me a few bucks and it looks AWESOME (Plus it is built strong, aircraft aluminum... stronger than steel). Cannot wait to put it to the real test in Sicily. Only problem is that when you sit on the bike, the rear is really low, so it will be nice to see if I will need to do anything for those tires to keep out of the way.

home sweet home...lol. we talked about going there thurs morning and coming home the sat. nite. but it is not going to work out. we may go to sand hill this sunday to play around....quad king...i think you would need to fatten up your main a lil bit esp. after removing the lid. probably need to raise the needle 1 notch also. especially with it cooling off i always fatten up my jetting when it starts to cool off.....ryan i run a 178 main in the winter and a 172 in the summer....my set up is different i have a full port and fcr. I had a 165 when i had it dynoed and it was wayyyyyy lean. try a 172 if it feels lazy go down 1.

Well CHEVYS, I just spent 1 1/2 hours cleaning my chain with a toothbrush, and wow, it looks super great, well from what it used to look like. I see some silver so thats a good sign. I put it my quad on a cinder block and then put it in gear and let it just idle. I put the tooth brush on my wheels, outside and inside, on the hubs too. When I cleaned the hubs then washed them off I pointed the hose to where the hub and the axle meet and mud SHOT out, kinda funny-like. Well it works for me, thanks for giving me that idea. Timmy, thanks for telling me what to do about my idle situation, without that i would have been have to clean my chain! (read above)

I saw a bad arse YFZ a few days back that had "Gotcha B*tch" written on the airbox. Kinda reminded me of Bayou Boy's 400.

Quad King... well, it broke because it is a Yamaha. :blah: Sorry to hear that.

Went down to Honda and got the 13T sprocket and a can of red paint (Along with a couple other things). They didn't have the exact color I wanted, but whatever works. Painting the covers right now. Oh... and got something new to rep for Honda!

CHEVYZ

Yoshi sucks IMO. I would never buy Yoshi for my bike. HMF is a great pipe, but so is Sparks. The Sparks exhaust makes more power than the HMF. Both sound great and hold up well... the HMFs are put together rock solid, though.

I DO race my quads LOL.

Got the DASA exhaust today... will post pics of it tomorrow. This pipe is absolutely amazing. The craftsmanship on it... its just great. It sounds awesome as well. It has a really nice throaty roar to it. It isn't too loud at an idle, put you will hear it when you hit the throttle. The overall feel of the pipe is far superior to anything I have ridden so far. Like I said, it is just amazing!

The bike feels amazing overall. I am guessing it would be compliments of the DASA exhaust as well, but this thing pulls HARD all the way through... from bottom to top. Times more than my other bikes! Even low like it is, cruising down the street in 4th gear I blipped the throttle just a bit and the bike rose up like I was punched in first... it pulls sooo hard! It goes through the gears faster than we can handle LOL. Plus being all low, the handling is great on it. You can just power through the turns.

We haven't gotten a chance to test it against anything else yet, but we can already tell it is gonna run! Looked cool as hell at night rolling with the little lights on my lugs. It will look trick as hell when it gets pitch black at Sicily!

Well, depending on where you are at and what you want to run, you can run damn near anything. Of course, drag racing... but aside from that, you can run alot of different classes. Alot of the times they will let you run even if you are under age by their "Qualifications"... hell, they say you are supposed to be 16+ to race at State Capitol ( Place sucks), but there are kids around 12 racing drag Banshees.

If Holeshot Raceway hadn't changed owners, you could have raced MX for sure. They WERE building a quad track, but under new ownership, the new owner is only interested in buiding up the bike track.

Do they make DASA exhaust for a YFZ? I drag race at a few local events. Aside from that, I often go down to Holeshot with my buddy and we race dirtbikes. I was gonna race MX there with my quad... maybe we can find a different track now. Haven't had a chance to since his KTM broke down. I have been thinking about trying a few different kinds of riding lately. One of the locals in my area has a TT 450r. I may go and check out one of his races one day.

I don't think that DASA makes exhaust for the YFZ, but I am not 100%. The exhaust is just wicked, I love it. Nothing except top quality from DASA! Don't feel bad if they don't. They don't make it for the old EX either.

Basically. I am gonna sit on the tank and just let her rip down the track. With the lowered gearing I MAY still have the abailty to launch in second... doubt I will, but it may be possible.

Last clash a guy with no wheelie bar or anything on a Banshee almost won. It was awesome because the guy would literelly wheelie from start to finsh. Boy did the crowd cheer when he got to the other end!

If you really want a drag quad you should sell your 450 and buy a used rappy 700;) JMO

CHEVYZ
10-11-2006, 07:55 PM
I was actually gonna buy a Raptor 700 at one time, but decided not to. The 450 is already here, much easier to mod, and is just as potent, just runs a different class. I have already seen modded 450s outrun big bore DSs and Raptors. The possibilities with ANY of these new school bikes is endless! A really big downfall to me about the Raptor 700 is that it crumbles in an accident. I raced a guy one day that ended up flipping his quad (In the dirt) and totally trashed the bike. The same day another guy told me that his buddy literally damn near ripped the entire front end off his quad in a "Small" accident. With that said, my 450 has taken some serious spills and kept on ticking! Aside from that, it is not gonna be a strict drag bike. In fact, I am gonna do all of the suspention and whatnot and make it a duner! One of my buddies lives in California and wants us to make a ride out there to hit up a couple of spots one day, so as of now that is my dream trip for it.

Only bringing the 450s this time around though. If the 10 paddles is a little much this time around, I have no worries because right after I am putting my big setup on. I SERIOUSLY doubt it will be though. We don't run long enough distances to see any top end affects.

10-11-2006, 08:52 PM
Oh I thought you were strictly drag racing it...
If you put it that way I would keep the 450:p

About that trip to Cali, when will you arrange the trip? If it's another year from now put me in:macho If it's OK with you.

I think you will be OK with the 10 paddles. It will definitely pull your 450 but with the large amount of paddles, it will put more stress on your engine. No BIG deal thought.

400eXr1d3rZ
10-11-2006, 08:53 PM
CHEVYS Do you think 9 paddle extremes would be too much for me? What does "strectching the paddles" mean, how do you do it?

CHEVYZ
10-12-2006, 04:09 AM
Yeah, 9 paddles is way too much for your bike. I wouldn't run them on mine. At the most I would say 8 paddle extremes... hell, regular 8 paddles may work well for you.

Stretching the paddles consists of you putting a large amount of air into your tires and letting them sit in the sun for about a week (+). The tires will "Stretch" giving you taller tires. It works well when you have more bottom end than you can use. It really helps my bike because the regular 8s have a weird "traction pattern" on my bike. If you sit forward they spin. If you sit back, they will spin for a second then grab and throw you back hard when you slam the next gear. With a set of 21 8 paddle extremes I think I would be about dead on for most places I ride at.

I love how nimble my bike is. I wouln't trade that for anything. The Raptor has power, but it feels like a big, heavy turd after getting off the 450. Hell, my 440 feels like a turd!

Whenever we do make it out, I will let you know. It is one hell of a long trip though... needless to say, it won't be for a little while. I don't think I will have much of a problem with my engine, though. I have plenty enough setups for it now to have it running no matter what the case!

Yay! I'm back, and it was a blast. Sucks that none of you guys could come... there wasn't near as many people as last year, but that makes for some good and bad.

First of all, let me start off by saying how much I was impressed with both of my bikes. For what they have in them, they are already running pretty sweet. With a good run, my 05 was running with and beating rigid chassis bikes. Hell, my buddy has a 520r and I waxed him. It isn't a slouch. And to imagine, that set-up sucks! Now for the 06... yes, the little HRC bike. I spent all of Friday testing and tuning them (Both) until I found I liked them, plus worked on some of my skill for different areas (Believe it or not, in the little time I have been there, I improved alot!). The bike runs! I was beating bikes with some decent work to them... a 440EX on alky, 450rs with the HRC kit, exhaust, air filter, etc. It was awesome at night because we had those lights... I was going down the track shifting and smoking guys on a wheelie. I had ALOT of people impressed with my bikes and asking me what I had LOL.

We left Friday morning and just got back. I am soo tired. My hands literally have blisters on blisters. I guess I will put up a little more info later.... I am a bit tired! :p

Oh, and the twin sabertooth basically self-destructed before it could be run. Instead they brought out the Blaster. Can't say the little thing doesn't run though, it was smoking some of the baddest bikes out there. Supposedly, it is the fastest Blaster in the country.

Oh, and I think we are gonna be on the site this time. They took a bunch of pictures of our group.

Quad King, the cover is looking nice. How hard was it to put on? I have been wanting to do a full graphics kit, but the guy that always did my covers moved and I haven't a clue on how to get it right myself.

10-16-2006, 04:35 PM
The seat cover wasn't hard to put on... the hardest part was pulling the wrinkles out.

Here's how I did it.

First you need to put the front part of the seat cover on (Gas Tank side) then put two staples on it.

Then stretch the seat cover to the other side of the seat, so it will be tight and then put two staples in it.

Then after you have both sides stapled with two staples on each side, stretch the seat cover side to side and staple the seat cover as you go.

Be sure you start to staple the rear end of the seat cover first and stop a little less than half way down the seat, and then you should start to staple the front of the seat to make your way to the rear end of the seat...

Be sure you stretch your wrinkles out as you go.;)

Thanks for posting up to help me out QK. I know I am kinda late LOL.

I was wondering why you changed your name to Mc. Muffin. I noticed it when you posted pics of your bike in the YFZ forum.

I like the 416 graphics. They remind me of the original 400EX graphics, which are my personal favorites.

What can over paddling do to your quad?

CHEVYZ
10-22-2006, 07:13 PM
The main problem I see associated with overpaddling is that it kills your performance. I would imagine it puts alot of strain on your engine as well.

That sucks about you not being back until Dec. 20. Still have quite a ways! How long do you get to stay this time, or is it another short schedule?

On another note, we are going to Sand Hill next weekend. Anybody think they may be able to make a trip?
