will a 400ex axle fit the 450r

hey guys i bent the **** out of my 450r axle and i have a spare 400ex axle will it fit? i mean direct bolt on fit, i dont want to fight or fabricate anything, just pull the old one out and slide the new one through

I think 450r/400ex/250r axles are the same but not sure. I think lonestar has the 450r/250r/400ex listed under the same parts #.
I heard that 400ex and 450r swing arms are almost the same so it should work cause people are running 450r swing arms on 400ex's and i dought their useing a 450r axle. So i think it should work. If you got it laying around i would just try it.

400ex carrier is 1/8in wider, so the area of the 400ex axle where it rides on the carrier is larger than the 450R. It will wear out the sprocket carrier.
