Today i went to watch my friends cross country race. There was a puddle in the first turn and i saw a baby snapper in it. I grabbed it and took it home with me. His shell is hardly bigger than a quarter. What do i feed him?

OK i got a story, one day going down the trial riding with a couple fellow riders from exriders, we were moving pretty quiek down this one trial i hit something and looked back watching everyone else run it over, i turn around to find out it was a pretty big snapping turtle, like maybe the size on my tires( about that big around)

Snapper turtles eat frogs and stuff too. They lay under water and twitch there tong and when a fish come near that eat it. Atleast when there huge they do that.

Atleast I think that was a snapper on the discovery channel

You said the size of a quater??? OMG that is small. Umm maybe ANTS??? lol When I had Hermit crabs way back when, I bought them little dead schrimp from the pet store. They are like little tiny dried shrimp about the size of a pencil lead

i saw a quite big one in the middle of the road so i did the good thing(was forced) to pick the thing up and move it out of the way.

I got one a few months ago the same size! It will eat turtle pellets, worms, goldfish and crickets. Don't think that because it is small it needs small stuff to eat! It eats full size nightwalkers! I don't know where he puts them but he eats them!!!

I had a baby snapper once,
It ate all sorts of stuff.
Keep it in an enclosure with one of those plant lights and half water and half land.

They eat earth worms, meal worms, small pieces of RAW hamburger, crickets when they get a little bit bigger.

Raw hamburger is where its at for snappers.

I have it for about 2 months and it eats great! Growing fast too! Eats anything I throw at it! Do you have it in a tank or what?
