whats wrong?

hey guys i have a 2004 400ex and i have a k&N airfilter and thats all..and everytime i start it it gets really hot in less that 30 seconds and i have no clue whats wrong with it...i would appreciate it if anyone could help me?..thanx

Have you checked your valve clearance lately

Well when you put it on did you rejet it? It's most likely running lean so its gonna get hot, go to your honda dealership and grab a couple Keihin brand jets. Stock is a K148 so id grab a 152 and to play it safe a 155. Go from there.

sorry..i forgot to include that my dad rejeted it..he tried some dyno jets and it ran hot and we changed it back to the stock jetting and it got cooler..but its still hot ...

Just grab the jets i mentioned and you should be set, take the dyno jets and either trash them or sell them to someone else, imo they are useless.
