05 vs. 06

I have been considering getting a 450r. What I'm wondering is which bike is better?? I know the 06 has more power, but are they more reliable?

Which bike is better all around between the 05 and 06.

Both have their pros and cons. Both have some type of known issue that can occur... for example, some 06s have electrical problems. I have had no problems with either of mine. Handling differs between them... you will probably like one over the other. The 05 is soft and plush, where the 06 is stiff and firm. I find the 05 handles better, personally... at least in a stock trim. The 06 has a far more powerful "stock" engine in my eyes. Running similar set-ups (Exhaust, cam, rev box, etc), the 06s in my group outrun the 05s with ease. The 05 has taller gearing and likes to be run, on the other hand, the 06 is alot easier to drive and go slow on. Either bike can be set-up to suit your needs. If nothing else, you can always go out and sit on them to see which one fits you better.
