Questions about the headlight switch

Hey guys, just wondering if all the honda headlight switchs are the same. like one off a honda 250R is the same as a 400ex or 250x/300ex or anything like that.

i know they probably won't plug in together but just as long as i can cut the wires and solder them back together...

Most are similar with the only the plug that connects to the main harness being different. I might have an extra in my parts pile. I'll check tomorrow when I go to the shop.
