IATVHSS Round #6 Mount Pleasant Afternoon race report

The racers and the crew of the IATVHSS were very excited about this sixth round of racing as it was taking place at a new track in eastern Iowa. The Greenhurst Farm just outside of Mount Pleasant was set to host the families of racers.

The afternoon racers headed to the starting line waiting for the morning race course to be swept.

Josh Eaton was the first racer to make his way across the second creek crossing with the entire bunch close behind.

Some racers charged full throttle straight across others like James Smith opted to go slightly left to try and avoid taking in to much water.

Jeff Schrock getting out front of the +30 and hanging on all day to take the first.

Bryan Gaylor +30 picking a line across which must have paid off with a third place finish for him.

Daniel Prindle from the B class appears to be trying to keep his feet dry. Good luck with that.:)

Well I made my way over to the first creek crossing and this is what was waiting for the racers to make their way back around. And the rain was beginning to fall again.

Adam Rosenbaum who was having some issues and falling way off pace in the B class.

Just a picture of one of the cliff hills overhanging the creek. I imagine some hillclimbing daredevil would have a good time trying this one.

Jerome Rewerts, Colby Kostman, Chris Burrows, and Ryan Jiminez all over each other in the creek trying to catch up with the leader Brandon Hunter.

Dan Wipper looking to make a move on the leaders. If he could only keep his seat on and then at least find it when it flies off. But Wipper would go on to take 2nd place in the +30

Mike Burrows takes over the lead for AA from Josh Eaton but would have to settle for a second on the day as Eaton would take the win.

Lap traffic for Keuhn and Uehlin who would be out of the race soon with a crash in a tree and some broken parts.

Dave Day quickly went to from first to last in the +40 when he could only complete 1 full lap.

The rain was steadily coming down harder and faster as the race progressed.

John Wood 4th place +40. Woody had some tie rod issues but once again thanks to the Burrows pit crew he was back up and racing again.

That's why people get ichy and bichy when they don't see pics within 24 hours after the race! It's actually more of a tribute than selfish complaining! :blah:
