440ex vs kfx440

my brother has a kfx 440... yoshi pipe and cams... im looking to put a 440 kit on my 400ex with a sparks pipe i think and cams. will they run close the same? i could trade my 400ex for a kfx400 both stock but i dont know if i want to.. i rly love the 400ex, handling... everything about it just not fast enough. how will the 440ex compare to the kfx440

Mod for mod, a modded liquid engine should beat an air cooled one. Concentrate on suspension and handeling and even without motor mods he won't be able to touch you.

When it comes down to modded bikes it is all about set-up for the area where you are racing. Personally, I think that the KFX type engines have more potential, but that does not mean that the 400EX cannot be built to keep up. Take your time and choose the parts to build a set-up suitable for you, and you should have no problem beating him.

get the hotrods 460 kit and do some suspension mods and u will blow him out of the water. i think the ex handles alot better as well. i would not get a kfz, ltz, dvx 400

My dealership recently mentioned 505 kits, if you can get your hand on one then holy hell..

k thanks... im a better rider then him so on the track im ahead of him just when we come around a turn or a little straight run he blows by me... its a totally differnt story when im on my 250r, just not reliable enough... so im trying to beef up the 400ex.... thanks alot tho i think i made my decision

if ur that much better and it is only a need of some more power, then u could try a 426. u will proly be able to beat him with that
