can taking the spark arrestor out of my 300ex hurt it in anyway?

I'm not sure if you can, but if you do, it's better to rejet.

EDIT: I just noticed in your sig you said you have a Yoshi pipe, yes you can take it out, but leave the end cap on, just take the spark arrestor out. Go up about 2 jet sizes.

if u remove the spark arrestor u do not need to rejet. u only need to rejet if the bike starts running a little hotter, it doesn't hev the same (or more) power, or it starts to stumble, backfire, or pop on decel. removing the spark arrestor will make it alot louder

Yes, you do need to re-jet. More given power.

taking the spark arrestor out isnt going to do anything to make your jetting off

Well, then im thinking of something else. On a stock 400ex pipe, is the spark arrestor the thing in the center of the baffle? Becuase if it's something like that, then you need to rejet.

it doesnt make any HP gain pretty much makes it louded and dosent keep sparks from poping out



i like the sound alot better with them out
