Fox shocks, walsh arms & linkage, bumpers, nerfs, kill switch, custom engine work, etc.... lol. They really didn't do too much else.

You can figure everything out from photos minus the engine work.. wich I garauntee is "top secret". Pro's dont give away their porting, cam combo, etc.. secrets. That's what gets them the holeshot (helps anyway).

the only thing you won't find out is the shock valving/spring and set up. and the exact motorwork. i am sure it is cam/piston, crank, balencing, head/valve work.

u wont be able to come close to replicating one of their bikes if thats what your trying to do.

At the Matt Bartosek race this year they had JJ's quad and there is so much little stuff on it. Like brake line cooler thingys.

Agreed! The people that spend thousands of dollars in R&D and testing aren't giving that info up that gives their team an edge on the track. They would be stupid if they did.

yosimura will do your engine up like theres...its cost like 1600...chekc out the website...its a really hign maintance...they say it depends on how agressive you are and it lasts doug gust about 3 races before a complete rebuild.

I highly doubt its the exact same motor work. I also bet he gets a full rebuild before every race...;)

That is not the kit. That is nothing more than a stage 3 engine kit..or wahtever, the best one you can buy. You simply can not get what pros have, especialy in their engines. The only way you could HAVE the same engine is to buy one at the end of the season, and you still wont find anyone to do the work for you.

Any pros motor would not last 30 minutes with an ametuer riding it. it is made to be ridden very hard and rebuilt often.

Even if they would build you a motor similar to theirs it is gonna cost alot more then that to build it, espically with labor. Pros motors and suspension setups usually run near what a stock bike costs! And im not sure about the durablitity factor, many are rebuilt after every race or even have a new motor put in between races....

pros have to race both races with the same cases that they qualified in.

Ok then they are REBUILT, with NEW parts in between motos because i have seen mechanics take motors out between races. And if that is the rule then they could still run a new top end or bascially replace most internal parts while still using the same cases. Either way my point was they are not meant for durablitiy, but this is getting off topic so i will just leave it at that....

should have been more specific in your post then:)

Not true. I watched Byrd blow a motor at he start at Gatorback in 05, and come back in and swap motors for the 2nd moto. Same with jeremiah's Z400 at Mt Morris the same year.

I can guarantee you that it is true. If a pro has to run a qualifier, He has top run both motos on the same cases. If they were preseeded then he has to run the same cases for both motos that he used in the first moto.

Well I watched Byrd and Team Suzuki get away with it in public view.....

they used the same bottom end. If they didnt have rules like that, what would stop them from using one bike for one moto, and getting out a second bike for the second moto? There has to be some rules to make it fair.

They both changed complete engines.

maybe its legal in the WPSA..but the GNC...its definately illegal. Goodman DNS'ed a few times last year becuase of it.

It may be illegal, but this isn't Nascar. There is not a race official at the trailer at all times. They don't take serial numbers before the race, and then check them after. If you think everyione follows the rules, then I got some ocean front property to sell you in Afghanistan (Complete with mountains and sandites).

I am sure not everyone follows the rules, but I cant see team Suzuki breaking such a rule in a series they sponsored.

Also if someone blows a motor in the 1st moto, i'm sure someone is going to think it's a little weird if they come back running for the 2nd moto. I doubt it would be easy to cheat at this.

diangelo#67

no the rule goes they need stock cases and frame to compete, but they have to race the same frame as they quailify on

hondaracer31
11-05-2006, 05:12 PM
diangelo is right. They have to run the same FRAME.
