Turn in the idle adj screw. Not sure where it is on the 04, but that should do it. Mine also makes the 'pop' noise at low idle. If its popping on deecceleration, probably a lean condition. Mine also did this when the headpipe to cyl came loose

if i turn the idle screw up(making it idle hire) it idles to high if i turn it down it idles to low which tells me i am either to rich or to lean. I am going to try and turn the air screw out just a hare and see what i get.

Mine did the same thing. Turn the air screw out half a turn because that's what fixed mine.

should be an air/fuel screw but i dont remember what way you should turn it.

1/4 to 1/2 turn out on the fuel screw located directly on the bottom of the carb in front of the float bowl. If you have a big high flowin exhaust, it may always pop especially if your gettin most of the pop only when pinned on the throttle long... like down a road or through a feild..
