04 with another jetting Q?

Its not my bike.... I was helping out a friend las night.. and the bike is not running right...

We installed a FMF slipon, and Dynojet stage 2 I guess? Its the kit that comes with the K&N with pre filter...


Wo we installed that and followed the usless directions and decided to go with the stage2 install... Because he wants to run it with out the air box cover... Mostly duning...

We installe a 170MJ from DynoJet
DynoJet needle on the 4th clip.
Pilot remaied stock..
3 1/4 turns out on the Air Screw.

Thats what the instructions called for..

The bike starts fine and idles fine but when you blip the trottle all it does is stutter for a sec and then rev.. what gives..


Also Dyno Jet sizes are not the same as OEM jet sizes right? whats the diffrence?

If it was a 450r I could get him really close cause thats what I run but on this bike im lost.... HELP

ok, i would go back to the OEM jets. try a 152 main and a 40 or 42 pilot. that should get u real close. the bobble off the bottom usually means that the pilot is too lean.

Thats what I thought...... But this dude already bought the Dyno jet,.,,,, I told him to stick with stock jets....

A 152 MJ OEM equals to what im the DAMMM Dynojet kit?

A 170 dynojet is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too rich.
