AMA or ATVA

What is the difference between the two? All of my friends signed up at the race and they got AMA. I signed up at the same race but my card says ATVA. Thanks alot...

Also, what are you guys a member of?

AMA - motorcycle riders
ATVA - for atv riders

I believe the ATVA is a division of the AMA, but I'd sign up ATVA so that's where your money goes.

They are the same people !! ATVA is thier ATV division and AMA is thier motorcycle division. but they are the same people

some of the race organisers are crazy in D7 so i just got an AMA card to help with the confusion

:ermm: So does this mean if you want to race and it say's a.m.a card reqiured, does that mean your o.k. with the atva card or do you need both? I have both.so does this mean i dont need the a.m.a card:confused: i may be paying for both when I don't need to? i got into riding and just got them to be safe in case i ever decide to race.

YOU ONLY NEED ONE. ATVA is part of the same organization. At least your money went to a sorta good cause :devil:
