engine trouble

ok last sunday i took my 300ex on a ride and about 2 hours in it started missing and sputtering.i started riding it back to my truck and before i made it there it just died and wouldnt start.wait 30 minutes or so and let it cool down it will start and run fine for about 15 min then start sputtering again.checked my valves adjustment its fine spark plug i slight tan looks like the air fuel mixture is fine.im stumped on this one could it be my coil breaking down my oil cooler is kinda close to it.i really need some help i wanna ride saturday

Make sure its getting fuel,i know it sounds academic but i have seen the fuel screens inside the tank be completely blocked with rust etc not allowing much fuel through the petcock.It could also be a pulser coil going bad as well.Try swapping a known good coil and cdi first before you replace your stator coil.

it was the ignition coil went by the dealer and got a 10 buck emgo and it fixed eveything
