400ex timeing?

wel i ordered the curtis sparks adv timeing key an i got it 2day. i was reading the lozey directions if thats what u want to call them haha and it says now that it adv my timeing 6 degress. my stock timeing marks will not be right (tdc) top dead center so i have 2 find the tdc through the spark plug hole. what the hell does that mean how do i do that? any help would be great thanxs guys

put a screwdriver in teh plug hole. slowly turn the engine over by hand and watch the screwdriver move up, find the poin where it stops mobving up, but does not move down yet. that is TDC.

all right thanxs man does this mean my valve adj clearence will be different

you adjust the valves the same, it is jsut you have to find TDC another way. The clearances are set the same as you normaly would.

If you do adjust your valves just make sure your on the correct TDC as it has two.
