Do you mean as opposed to the regular lights? Like if yu have a race front end and want lights? You could maybe mount them up under the plastics down low. You could use the existing headlight circuit as they are both 12 volt. You would have to pick high or low, but I don't think it matters as the stock light has a dual filament which is why the high is brighter, the voltage does not change. Good luck with it and lets see some pics.

I bought my ex with race plactics and no headlight and I was wandering were the plug is for the headlight I can't seem to find it. I was gonna mount a HID bulb since they only draw 35 wats.

don't know. sry. i would iagine it is similer, but the hood on that bike is not dtatchable like on the '05-up. u will need to remove the front plastics, but i would think it is very similer. all u need to do is trace the wires in the lights to the plug on the other end. it shouldn't be hard

I bought some Hella Optilux lights. They are all metal with a metal mounting bracket. I have race plastic and was able to mount the lights using the bolt at the top of the shock mount. They look great and work fine.

My wiring harness was not complete so I could not use the factory wires for lights. I know there is a black wire that orginates at the voltage regulator. That wire will power the lights. I just bought an on/off toggle from an auto store and wired it in to this black wire. Coming out of the switch just run the wire to the lights. For the negative wire for the lights, I grounded the lights to the frame.
