Loud noise when shifting

i havent ridden the 400 in about 3 months..but i got it back together and me and a friend were out in the pit and i noticed it that when you shift its kinda loud...idk if this is anything to worry about or not..it might not of changed but i know nothing about how the transmission works and what might make noise and if its somthing thats gonna break.. any info would be apreciated

theres plenty of oil in it..ive been checking it every ride since the rebuild

This may sound dumb, but check the skidplate on your swingarm. You shoulda have a little rubber guide under the chain, if not then more than likely when you shift the chain is hitting your skidplate. Thats what mine is and everytime I shift it does it, you can buy the rubber piece if so for like 15 bucks, but mines came out twice so I don't worry about it.
