Try a 42 pilot and a 152 or 155 main as a starting point if you have still have the stock exhaust. Clip in the middle.

if he is gonna run dyno-jets, i can go look at my instructions for his applicatons but besides that i would go with his above and jus tinker with it and find the sweeeet spot

A 188 main is way to big. I am running a 160 main at sea leval with a pipe,K&N, and outerwares airbox lid cover. I would start at a 155 with his bike.

this might be stupid but if your runnin a 188 maybe not. are you sure your checking the bottem of the sparkplug right?? if not take the bike to a shop.

I know how to jett a bike,i been riding for 10 years...Here i thought i was strange i got a 225 main in mine but its ported..But his bike is all stock and he put a filter on it and bumped the jet up till it was getting richer and richer so he ended up at a 188 main and it still was white,So then heput the lid on and bam it ran brown as it should....Maybe the plug is messed up oir something, its the oddiest thing i seen...A ported 400ex runs noramlly about a 190-200 and he at a 188...Everything is being done right....Maybe when he gets a pipe on it ,it will jet better...

alot of guys on here say that you can't go on plug color alone with the gas additives these days,,,with the 188 does it act rich?,,,i would say that a 155 would be suitable for his application,,,
