lol thats pretty funny
I would say 35-40 pounds for the 80 motor...
I will also say that the 80 will have NO power what so ever! I would say use a CR125 at lease. IMO

I'd say 30-40 lbs sounds right, it's a pretty small engine. The CR80 should do just fine, it's just as powerful as a Blaster engine and those have been put in a 250R frame before. A 125 would always be nice though and it's not very much bigger.
i remeber a couple years ago dirtwheels had a 250r with a kx80 motor in it...they said if u kept it revved up it had blaster like power but less bottom end
i was always interested in the 80cc bike motor powered quads because none of the factory quads were fast enough for me so i got a kx60 then a cr80 and rode them as bikes and then got a blaster and was going to put the cr80 motor in but but instead we just did up the blaster
i would just put the 80 engine in a blaster...

Its got to stay under 90cc to race.so 125s are out.we have a full mod polaris predator 90cc weighs 262 dry. r weighs 330ish if i get the weightnear the same.itll have plenty.our motor only has 10 to 15 hp and is fast as hell.with the power of a cr80cc done up rightmay be 20 to 25hp it will have plenty of power for an 12 year old to race and with no mods done to the frame the 250 will go right back in for him. besides nothing handels like an R in the air let alone on the ground!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

thats pretty close to what we are doing now..and for the same reasons too .My Daughter too is 12 as well. We can run the stroker she has in an open class and run two classes if she choses.
ours will be an 85cc and will get a little worked over later next year. I already have the builder lined up.
Getting ready to buy suspention REEEEALLY soon!!
People do the R/80 set up all the time.Should work good!:macho
good luck to you and your build!
We talked about a 125 motor and my main concern is how the frame would handle it on the BLaster. I know its been done, but it still worries me some.
