06 450er.. Can it be done????

Whats up guys.. Im thinkin about gettin a new 06 leftover.. All Im really finding are electric starts. I hear alot of people havin problems though with the ER's.. My question is can you convert an ER over to a kicker? Maybe even retain both options? Have any of you ever done it or heard of this before? All info would be great and much helpful if you can!!

It can be done, I have it done on mine.

I did not do it though. I know you can keep both also!

Thanks Chino.. Def what I wanted to hear! Does yours have both and if so could I trouble you for a pic? If not no biggie, just like to visually see the set up. Do you think it just consists of the kicker inner assembly and the kicker? Sounds alittle to good to be true maybe..lol!

Chino how does your's start with the kicker when it is really hot or stalls?

I've only had time to ride it once, my e-start no longer works. I can kill it when it is hot and it will fire up on the first kick (no hot start). There is a company working on the hot start for the e-start carbs........coming soon!

You can buy the hot start system made by terry cables it is one of the best add on hot starts available.

Ya my friend @ JH Racing had to convert all his race bikes over to kick his dealer/sponsor only had enough kickers for customers :(

JH is the shop that got all the parts for mine, Hell, he might of done the conversion on it! :macho

I think I'll do it this winter. The e-start just doesn't work if it's hot or stalls.

U better check your jetting.I hear everyone whining about Estart problems but if the carb is set up right it shouldnt be a problem!!!!

After looking at the Terry Cable setup it seems that it is more of a upgrade for something that all ready has a hot start?

Chino what company are you talking about working on one? I know Baldwin was going to, but not sure if he still is.
