hey i know this isnt my first post about shocks but i didnt really get the info i was looking for in my other posts. i have 700 bucks to spend on shocks. i am looking at ohlins and pep. i have a 250r with 2+ lonestar a-arms.

i mostly ride jumps and trails. plz help. i dont ride full mx but i hit the track every ounce in a while.

what do you think would be the longest lasting and best performing shocks for around 700 bucks. and i dont want any suggestions much over 800 thanks.

Go with Pep for sure, I'm not knocking Ohlins at all though.
The problem with Ohlins is they aren't set-up for your riding, exact chassis (extended a-arms or swingarm), weight, or style of riding. While Pep is! Plus, you already have a Pep rear. Is it ZPS or no?
I had an Ohlins on my old 250r and It was a very smooth shock, awesome, but it just wasn't set-up for me. An Ohlins set-up for you would be awesome!

i dont know what kind of PEP it is. it was on there when i bought it. was pep stock on 89 250rs? i think i got it narrowed between pep, ohlins, or tcs. im not sure the price on ohlins but i have a 04 parts unlimited and they are about 700 bucks for piggyback ohilins in there. anyone know a good site to look into pep?

one thing to consider about ohlins is that if there is a problem or you need to have them revalved you have to send them back to them. A friend of mine has them and they have blown out on him a few times this year and he had to send them back to the factory. Not sure why but no one else he talked to said they could redo them.

Baldwin Motorsports is a good site to look for PEP.
