Why do I have little holes around the opening on top of my gas tank? :confused:

Yeah vents if its on the gas cap. You need them. Your gas tank is the same as a normal gas can. Needs vents to help it flow. If you run no vent it runs lean.

air has to replace the gas tha's leaving or it will create a vaccuum and the gas won't flow. A gas tank will his when the cap in unscrewed if the vents are clogged. Happens a lot on old cars when their is no return line.
