YEA ITS TRUE IF UR GOIN 2 HOLD UR QUAD WIDE OPEN PINNED IN 5TH GEAR. ALL THEY DO IS ADV TIMEING AN GET RID OF THE STOCK REV LIMIT IT RAISES THE RPMS 800-1000 RPMS I BELIVE DEPENDIN ON WHAT BRAND. SUM R ADJ HAVE DIFFERENT SETTING BUT THOSE R A FEW HUNDRED BUCKS. IT GIVES U BETTER THROTTLE RESPONSE AN MORE RPMS ID GET 1 IM SELLIN A BRAND NEW DYNATEK ONE FOR 80 SHIPPED SELLS FOR 94.99 NEVER BEN OUT OF THE PACKAGE

Depending on which one you get, it advances your timing and allows your motor to rev higher.

If your looking for a CDI, Procom Magnum, Dyna Tek, Sparks CDI or Team Alba, there all good.

Just don't get white brothers.

I thought I read on here a while back that heavy duty valve springs would help with reliability but are not necessary. From what I remember- with an increased rev limit, you increase the chance of floating a valve. I put on hd springs when I did my build to be on the safe side.

The WB revboxes are really just a Honda XR250 stock revbox. They need a really strong battery to spin the motor over fast enough to get the ignition to spark. When you kick the XR over with the kickstarter, you spin the motor a lot faster. That is why some people have trouble with them and others don't. 81 clark racing is a post whore. Dude, we get it, you have a revbox for sale. Put it in the for sale section.

If your willing to fork out the money the Vortex is good I run it on my 400. It has ten different timing curves you can switch to. It works very well, but I paid like 370.00 for mine.

I have a list of mods I intend on doing in the very near future and the rev box was one I was contemplating. I'd like to read up on some info from the different manufacturers etc.
