Could use some advice on starting to race

Hey Iam 14 and iam just wanting to get into racing .Is there classes where u can race a 450cc bike with beginners and also i just need advice on racing if anyone could help me!!

it depends on where you live but around here it is divided up by skill level, so you can use any size quad. but most (i believe all) places require you to be 16yrs old to race a full size quad

i live in southern illinois...and i have a friend he was 15 and he was racin a yfz450 so i duno

in jersey u can race wateva u brought. check ur state laws n stuff but u should be able to race ur quad in a class lik that. sorry for the typing

well your friend lied about his age. In illinios u have to be 16 to race and 450, anywhere. I race HS over in casey, IL and i go to some MX races around there with my mom so i know u have to be 16 to race that size of a quad.
What kid of racing are u wanting to get into?

either mx or woods..but iam sure he raced his yfz at duqoin

I race woods...
I havent been to that track, but i know to race pretty much anywhere u have to have a ATVA or AMA card. In order to get one of those u have to be 16. its not to hard to lie on paper. I know guys who had before.
*i'm not saying u should lie to race that is up to u*

you dont have to be 16 for an ama card but i am unsure of the atva. you rbest bet is to contact the place you plan to race and tell them your situation, they will get you on the right path

you have to be 16 to race a 450 but their are other classes for younger riders
