View Full Version : yfz cutting out?

okay so i just got my 05 yfz yesterday and so far i love it, except for one thing it seems like the revlimiter is kicking in way too ealry. at first it seemed like it was jetting but im pretty sure that its the limiter now. maybe its just because im used to my 250f reving out to 13k but the yfz seems to be cutting out even at half throttle... any idea whats going on?

could the CDI be going out???

nah, im petty sure its good, but incase it isnt, how would i check something like that?

unfortunately, you can't test a CDI. But before i did that I would make sure your carb is working properely and be 100% sure it's not starving for fuel as this usually tends to be the case.

even if you put the choke out 1/2-3/4 when revving to see if it changes...
