I want to get a winch for the wife's 06 wolverine but the only one made for it is the warn 1500. I was wondering if any one has a any experiance with one. Thanks

My friend has one on his polaris. He snapped the cable trying to get out of a really thick mudhole. Lets just say it took his tractor to get him out and that wasn't even easy. Warn did give him a new one.

I have the warn 1500#, but wished I would've gotten the 2500# instead. There have been quite a few times it has just stopped pulling on my friends Grizz and anothers Brute 750, but the frame was bottomed out on both. I would suggest going bigger if there is any way possible. Just my .02. As far as the cable snapping, you could upgrade to the winch rope, which is stronger, doesn't recoil and won't fray like cable. They recommend a billet fairlead for the rope though.

I haven't used the Warn 1500, but I have a Warn winch mounted on my trailer that I pull our cars around with. It has been working with no problems for as long a sI can remember, as least 6-8 years.

Just wanted to give ya a little heads up on the Venom winches if you've looked at them. My friend has the 1700# and has a lot of problems with it, the cable kinked and frayed within the first couple uses and the selenoid box shorted out on it. He's owned it for about 4 months. Just remember you get what ya pay for.
