This week should be my last super swamped week at work then I can dive in and knock her out. I have the gusset kit, but the plate steel hasnt come yet to do the foot peg area.
I am shooting for middle to end of next week having it completed

Ok...im at a point where I need some changes made to the plan.
The nerfs and the crossbar are going to be questionable. If...and WHEN he has to make a nerf bar change there may be serious issues if I do a pro peg style front mount. I cant even garuntee that another set of ac nerfs would match what you have now and I know any other brand will be useless once this is done.
Id like to leave the nerf mounting as is, and move on to coating it. I just finished welding all the cracks and adding gussets

I will have pics up shortly.
I went ahead and added a zinc rich primer base to the frame. The color you have chosen really is not the best bonding so the primer coat should help. the silver coat is on and curing, then comes the clear:p
By this evening everything will be completed, not sure when twisted is leaving from BPG, maybe I can get ahold of him and see if he can swing in here on his way home

Hey man...Pop Dup here...How's the knee? I see you're going to Millers this weekend....Watch those boys down there...Remember the last time...:D Coach em good...You-know-who can't handle a lot of pressure...Yeah, I kind of looking forward to this weekend...We've done a lot to the bike and it needs a good shakedown without the pressure of a race....You wern't supposed to see it though.. Is your Dad going to get enough time off to go to Millers? I'm sure you have been workin him hard...Is Danny happy with his new motor?
XCAdam89
10-11-2006, 02:42 PM
And I thought your 400 was sick...
I might be going to Millers this weekend, maybe JRP would be down to go as well...
I'll let you know.

10-11-2006, 04:06 PM
Yea, I didn't think I was supposed to see it but it do's look good. If Danny do's end up riding this weekend he won't have his 450 engine in it because he dosn't even have one yet, he'll be on his old bike with a stock z400 motor that's why he's not going to the Maryland state champ. becuase he's afraid he's going to get pulled real hard on those hills which he will, Miller's is flat so he's got a better chance.

The arms were fine....We put different shocks on and they were to long and there was a serious binding problem....It was our mistake and we have learned from it....

The good ole days....:D Does 1/4 of an inch make THAT much difference in a shock...Does that 1/4" at the shock make 1" - 1 1/2" at the end of the a-arm? I never was too good in Geometry...
Pappy
10-22-2006, 07:56 AM
Me either:p
This is exactly why i chuckle at alot of the threads that say they used shocks from xyz model on abc model and it works as well as the custom axis they used to own...lmfao
