View Full Version : Cutting fenders

i was thinkin about cuttin my fenders and i have sen a post opn here b4 about how to do it but now i cant find it.. so if any1 can tell me the best way to do it that would help me alot. and if any1 has any pics of some cut fenders please post them so i can see wat i want mine to look like.... thanks guys

I Just taped them off and cut them off about an 1/8th inch away from the tape line, then took the dremel with a sanding wheel and sanded them smooth down to the line, then hit them with hand held sand paper to smooth them out even more, then hit them quickly with a torch to make them shiny on the edges. Fairly easy process, took about an hour to do.

Yeah definitely! Especially with that that QuadTech hood. That would look even better with cut fenders. I don't like the full cut thats why mine is a little longer then some others, but you get the good looks with a little mud protection still.

if you have stock plastic thats not looking too hot anymore i say go for it. the only time i get a little dirtier than my dad or brother is when its pouring out. i hated how floppy they got when they collected mud on them, plus i think it just looks clean. Big Fish- nice job!! :eek2:

Decided to see who'd win, lots of trees or a 400ex. Trees won, if the frame wasn't gusseted, it would have been game over for the quad as a whole...

Oh well, it was past time for a rebuild....
