Holeshot Questions

well when it comes down to you it i usally have one of the faster quads at hole shot, i usuaally launch off in second gear, but the past 3 times i have went to launch in second i ended up having to double cluch just to make it out the gate. im really not sure whats the problem, i have 2 things in mind, 1 my clutch is starting to lag out some, cus its not tight like when i got it, or it could be because i switched where i got my gas gettin a cheaper 93 grade, but any help is useful thanks sorry so long

i would say its the clutch. what kind of gas were you running before tho?

i was runnin 93 before and then one race i had to put 92 in it then i went back to 93 but it wasnt same brand gas, maybe its the 92?

doubt its the gas, was it a ciffrent track. Usually I take off in 1st or 2nd depending on what the gate is, pavment, creete, dirt.

nah its the same track the track last week was differnet but same dirt take off, i dunno :-/ sucks though

i run a mix in the 440...4 gallons of 93 with one gallon of 113
it works great, and when i launch i always use 2nd....and hold it wide open....they will move or you will, either way somethings gotta give

With my quad I have start in 1st gear everytime. Would 2nd gear pinned be better? And should I lean forward more? Just dump the cluth or what? Its a dirt gate btw.

have you changed tire diamater? or got new tires at all? you just have to do trial and error on how your launching maybe before you were on the throttle more or position your weight different. i go 2nd gear as well putting my weight forword so i get a bit of tire spin other wise i take off with the front end pointed up
