FORD 427cu for '08?

heard from a higher-up in the u.a.w. detroit today that ford is coming out with a 427 to compete with the hemi for dodge. they are going to put it in quite a few vehiles. he said they were or still are going to call it the HURRiCANE but after katrina he thinks the name will be BOSS. not sure on any of this, anybody else know anything?

yea i heard that they were comming out with a new boss mustang
in 08 with a new 400 horse motor to compeate with the new camaro and the challanger.

It would be nice if they could make a fuel injected DOHC version of the '64 427 SOHC. Factory ratings were 615 hp @ 7000 rpm with a single 4-barrel or 657 hp @ 7500 with dual carburetors and they sell for $30k if you can find one. The "cammer" was built to compete with NASCAR Hemis back then so it looks like Ford is gonna do it again!! :eek2:

FINALLY! they should get more then 8 mpg also
