LOL, its only "pretty high up" if you compare it to a sub compact car...

What do you consider "high" ?
I thought H3's were kinda "high" for stock..Just my opinion though.

Hondadudeehhhh
09-17-2006, 06:25 PM
the h3's have decent ground clearence for what they are. I would own one if it had a small v8 in it.

After it got jerk many times ended up bending a leaf spring (those are HD Chevy Springs too) Snapped a tow strap hit the truck. Yes those are 35 under the sand.

If ur looking to get a 4.0 ranger for the gas...you better start looking elsewhere. I traded my ranger in because the gas milage was so ungodly horrible, I got like 12 mpg with my 33's under it. I now have a F250 that gets more mpg that my ranger.

KiethShwiggy300
09-18-2006, 02:08 PM
what u get with the f250 and do you have 33's on it?

Rico400
09-18-2006, 03:00 PM
ur f250 must be desiel, cuz we had a f250 with like 36" and it was horrible, it was also gas though. but it was my favorite truck ive ever had. 02 superduty F250 with 8" Fox air lift on 36" swampers.... pure sex, if it was a diesel i think i would still had it, but the gas was horrible and we had problems with inurance/warrenty people so we got rid of it.

To awnser everyones questions on the ranger.
Gas MIleage average is 16 with the 4.0 with a Superchip and Flowmaster Exhaulst. With my stock level2 with a 4.0 I get 16 MPG with 33s.

That is accually wet sand. You can walk on it but start acting stupid in 2wd and your A** end sinks. then 4wd your front end sinks lol.

i had a skyjacker 3in suspension, plus a 1 in spacer in the front right there. the tires are 315 buckshot mudders. i eventually got 35 in swampers plus 2 more inches of lift and i was gettin about 8 mpg in town lol.

Just a 6'' lift and some 35s. It has flowmasters, my dad hooked me up with them through his work so I'm not sure what series they are. that's about it for now. If I ever stop spending money on my quad then I'm going to buy a chip.

i could be wrong but i know that you can run 9 inch lift and 42"s in nh cuz i know ppl with it.idk if you can go bigger im pretty sure 42" tires is the bigest u cna go though legaly, but u have to have ur bumper low enough, and ur lights can only be certain amount of the ground to

niice, we have an excursion (2001) also, my mom is thinkin about gettin a lift for it, maybe a 4"er. how does his ride? also ours is the V-10 gas, it already gets like 11-12. if we add a lift and tires its gonna go single digits probable.

the V-10 pulls nicely, i mean we have a 4 horse, horse trailer and fully load you can barly feel it, and thats a good 1,000 pounds per horse plus the trailer which isnt light

Here's my '91 Bronco 5.8L automatic w/ a 6" suspension lift and 35x12.50s

http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g137/broncogurl351/91%20Bronco/100_0806.jpg

http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g137/broncogurl351/91%20Bronco/100_1640.jpg

And my '98 Ranger 3.0L 5-speed. Has the stock lift but I just put some 31x10.50s on it. Was going to put 33's but I mainly got this truck for better gas mileage and I didn't want to kill it. :p Gets about 19.5 MPG which is better than my Bronco's 9.5 MPG. lol

Here it is a month ago when I bought it:

And this is it now:

i heard that..awesome trucks..and that is one big *** ford.

hey i have a question. i have never lifted a truck before so
as i said earlier on this topic..im going to get a tacoma and lift it.
what would be the best brand/type of lift. so far from what i have seen im sure i want to go with a suspension lift. as for what brand...ill admit i dont know a thing about them.
what is the best brand to get ? ? i only want it lifted enought that it is big and look good..but not insane like most of these trucks on here..lol

mines halfway lifted:huh we started it last night, but never realized we would need longer u-bolts for the fronts (going from a half ton to a 3/4 ton leaf spring) going out now to get u-bolts for it, then it'll be finished today. i'll be sure to get some pictures up when it's done

my 79 factory 1 ton 4x4 its got 70,000 origional miles on it, i just lifted it 4'' last year and put the 33'' under it, but the 4" on the one ton is like a 6" on a 1/2 ton and i'm in the process of building a 1960 factory 3/4 ton 4x4 chevy with 12"-20" of lift but not shure on what tires i'm gonna run yet

I plan on buying new or atleast newer . Nothing older than an 2005 , but I'd prefer an 06 or 07.

Post more pictures of the truck . It looks sweet !!!!

I've been shopping around for a new truck lately and having a hard time deciding what I want .

Yours pretty much looks like the truck I've been considering ( '07 Ford F-250 Lariat Outlaw diesel) ... same color , body lines etc . Just wanted to see what it would look like with a lift and tires on it . So if you can get different angles I'd appreciate it .

you should save up and get a suspension lift.

yea id go with a suspension lift over a body lift any day, unless u already have like a 6 inch suspension, and thats the biggest they make for ur truck then get a body, but in ur case id get the suspension lift

One_Bad_400
11-11-2006, 09:32 PM
they make a 8" for my truck... and i wish i could offord a 6" lift... but i just cant and i dont have a job... but also if i did save up for a lift i couldn't offord the tires, wheels, and pay for someone to put it on... that would run me up to about 3 grandish and right now... i got a bout 100 buck... so the only thing i got is a 3" body... and that = up to about 4" of suspention lift... so oh well...

here's a little preview of whatr my truck should look like at christmas... i did this with jacks so when i actully lift it it will show the frame and some bed gap... but oh well...

Here is my idea of a lifted truck. Don't get me wrong, I love big trucks and plan to have a lifted F250 Super Duty down the road. But I have a weakness for prerunners.

Here are a couple of pictures of a friend of a guy on the Ranger website that I belong to. This is a real, full-on Ranger Prerunner that was actually built as a prerunner for the family's Class 7 Trophy Truck. This thing is bad-a*s with 20" of front suspension travel and 28" in the rear and is powered by a LS1 Chevy V8. I want it. The dude has over $100k in it and it's worth every penny.
