hey...we rode hard for a few hours at tower city. i tried running the airbox lid...but it is too fat in the mid range. i took it off and finished the day.
lots of following 2 R's and gettin pounded by roost!! i was gonna ride tomarrow...but i may just ride the ol' utility. them rocks are a lil hard on my back...lol
do you think i will be ok running no lid at the gncc?

it seems to me that my 250r has more bottom end when i have the airbox lid off and it has more top end when its on. most of the time i run it on just because it is too loud and i hate the sound a 2 stroke makes without the airbox lid.

This track doesn't have any big creek crossing so you should be fine. I would run a Outerwears prefilter if you aren't already just in case we get some rain and there are some puddles. PLEASE LET IT RAIN!!!:rolleyes:

yeah...we had a dust problem yesterday....and tower city aint the place to be in 5th pinned with no visability....cliffs will kill ya!!!
its raining like mad here today...god knows we need it.

Id say we need to be prepared for a huge dustbowl saturday. The track is already worn out so it will be really bad if it doesnt rain in Ohio.

well....was no riding here today...5 inches of rain since 11pm according to the rain gauge.
i checked the quad out...looks like that new prm rear skid is the bomb!!!! i nailed a few good rocks and not even a scratch...thanks jeff..
still dont know about my new spare set of front razors...fed ex lost them:confused: i have a new set of rears cuzs they came ups:blah
anyway.....6 days to go:macho

not to sound to stupid...but how bad does the dust affect the race...i know how it is riding in dust...just wondering if they give more time in between classes or what? or just race thru it..lol

I've never seen them delay rows because of dust. It gets real tuff sometimes but you just have to keep pluging away!

Lots of people quit when the dust is bad. So if you can hang in there you will do good.

Sure you can, its kinda up in the air on what time we are getting there. Rowlrag isn't sure what time he is getting off work.
I under stand "Rico" is going to sleep in my trailer with all the naked pictures in it friday night :D :D

metallica rocks rico wahooo!!! sorry i hadda....and gnccer congrats on gettin out of college...but now in 2 years u will be workin 8-4 every day, be married, gain 50-75 lbs, have 2 kids runnin around, and be half bald....so its not that great try to get back in college lol :blah kenny u got everything interstate dont ya? lol its pretty cool though. good luck guys kick some *** especially raptors...if any raptors beat u watch out :macho
kenny maybe you can be the one to try this out let Rico p in your gas tank at the race and see how your quad runs on alcohol.

What an interesting Thread.... If a phsycologist saw some of these forum posts.... I hope you guys do good. Dust sucks wear googles! I went for a ride on Saturday and on the way back I had to stop just to wash the dirt out of my eyes, they have been bright red since then, looks like I am stoned....real good:cool:

ok...this is dedication or stupidity..lol
i woke up with a lil tooth ache today..so i go to the dentist and he sez...well i can fix it for $600 or so..or i can pull it for $110.
well....i needed the money for some beadlocks ..so i pulled the s.o.b.:eek: priorities i geuss:rolleyes:
yep...gonna be an interesting weekend im sure...lol

ok..just got back from pickin up 4 beadlocks from harlin? he raced gncc last year i believe..now on a very trick z400. omg....was a blast meetin him...10 miles from me too.
damn...$50 bucks...maybe i will let him do another one while im there...lol
